Making A Difference

Gemma Phipps, Development Partner at Grayce talks about how Grayce is different from other Graduate Programmes, and how our development principles enable Analysts to turn ‘knowing’ into ‘doing’.

One question I am often asked is, how does the Grayce model differentiate from other Graduate Programmes?

Grayce specialises in finding high calibre graduates and through our Development Programme they are trained and supported to be multi-discipline change professionals. Due to their range of capabilities, our Project Analysts are able to add immediate value when working on business change programmes. The Grayce model is based upon our long experience of the value that can be delivered by highly capable graduates when they are provided with the right opportunity and support.

Development Principles

Our development programme has four key differentiating factors and these are known as our development principles. We believe in Building on Potential through Continuous Development, and we combine this with Real World Experience. This approach enables our Project Analysts to turn ‘knowing’ into ‘doing’, which results in Value Add for our clients.

The Grayce Development Programme is designed to provide our Project Analysts with a foundation of capability on which they can continue to grow.  We Build on Potential by developing technically and analytically skilled analysts, who are commercially aware and showcase advanced leadership capabilities.

Through Continuous Development we train our people to be multi-disciplined, within the first year of the Development Programme, certifications include BCS Business Analysis and APM Fundamentals. These core qualifications develop knowledge and equip our people with tools and techniques, so they can flex between disciplines and easily adapt to both traditional and Agile approaches to delivery.

Our Project Analysts are given Real World Experiences, they are responsible and accountable in roles such as PMO, Junior Project Management and Business Analysis roles. This experience is crucial for applying know how and understanding how best practice works in fast paced change environments.

Adding immediate value

The mixture of training and real world experience means Grayce Project Analysts are able to add immediate value from the moment they land on client site. This approach enables our analysts to sustain a big picture view while being equipped to work in the detail. Our analysts are strong problem solvers, who work efficiently with data and have strong stakeholder management skills. Grayce Project Analysts really do make a difference.
